Hello world!

Since I was in college I have wanted to write my own cookbook.  I have been collecting and modifying recipes for over 25 years and have literally a mountain (yes, hundreds) of them.  This blog will help me get them out there and allow me to catalog everything for the book.

I am super excited about sharing my adventures in food with you.  I’m not the perfect cook but I can throw together some pretty delicious food.  My goal is to share several recipes each week with silly, thought provoking or current event posts in between.  Please feel free to comment on any content (polite, Rated G only please).  I will post a few photos here and there, keep in mind that I am not a professional photographer…basically, have iPhone, will travel.

      Thank you for reminding me that I actually distributed that book! I think I gave them out for Christmas presents that year, didn’t I? I promise the new one will be MUCH better….no more three ring binders and black and white dot matrix images!

    I still have my copy of your original, college cookbook and have added to it at times. I still go to it to read remember and even cook some of those recipes!

      Thanks for holding on to that Mom and for the memories of that time that have come flooding back. I remember thinking how cool it was that I had cookbook specific software. How silly that seems today. I’ve made a pact with myself that there will be absolutely no “salmon” colored anything in the new book…isn’t that the color of the three ring binders I used? Oh my gosh…. Love you!
