I originally saw this recipe on Pinterest, published about 25 times in one form or another. Since then I’ve made it about 10 times. This is my families number one favorite biscuit. And that’s saying something…we are a bread loving group! So, here is my version of 7up biscuits.
Yield: about 9 biscuits
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup lemon lime soda
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Melt the butter and pour into a 13×9 inch pan.
Stir together the Bisquick, soda and sour cream (you can use a fork or pastry cutter). Sprinkle the counter with about 2 tablespoons of Bisquick and carefully turn out the dough and lightly knead (dough will be very soft, even gooey), keeping the surface lightly coated with Bisquick. Pat into a rectangle and cut into nine pieces. (just make two equal cuts lengthwise and two equal cuts through the width). Place the pieces into your prepared pan (yes, floating in the butter!). Bake for 12-15 minutes or until brown.
I guarantee once you get a mouthful of these little darlins you will never go back to your boring old biscuit recipe.
