Jalapeno Cheddar Bread

This is the most requested bread in our household.  One loaf lasts about 5 minutes.

*Note – this is a bread machine recipe

Yield:  1 loaf

1 1/4 cups water

4 1/4 cups bread flour

2 Tablespoons Sugar

2 teaspoons salt

2 1/2 Tablespoons butter – cold and cubed

1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I use Colby Jack)

1/2 can of diced jalapenos (i buy the 4oz cans and then I have enough for 2 loaves)

3 teaspoons Rapid Rise Yeast (if you don’t have the quick cycle on  your machine use 2 teaspoons of Active Dry Yeast)

Add the ingredients in the order listed above.  Turn on the machine.  Wait the necessary time and then sneak the first piece of yummy warm bread.  If you make the mistake of telling anyone in your family that the bread is ready, you will not get any so I always cut a slice right away and then go hide and eat it!
